Tuesday January 24, 7:00 PM, Congress Avenue bridge

While the media looks to cash in on the evening’s ratings bonanza and the political establishment gathers for the annual dog and pony show, come out to the Congress Avenue bridge with your signs and slogans giving voice to the 99% and showing Austin what the State of the Union really looks like. At 7 PM we will have a presence and brief speak-out on the sidewalks of the bridge before we march to the Capitol around 8 pm. All groups working for and representing the interests of the 99% in the areas of labor, public/higher education, foreclosure, the homeless, anti-war, military veterans, immigrant rights, human rights, equality are invited and encouraged to attend. This is community-initiated event, not in the name of or on behalf of any single grassroots group or entity.
