ICA/AB will talk about the ins & outs of solidarity network organizing, its relationship to the crisis and the historical moment, and show a couple videos from the Seattle Solidarity Network from which they derive their influence.
After the presentation they will facilitate an open dialogue about their work locally, how to support, and how to get involved.
Inner City Action/Acción del Barrio is a network of Austin workers who defend each other from employer/landlord abuses through collective direct action and mutual support. We think it’s important to act independently of lawyers, cops, and politicians--the allies of employers and landlords--in order to guarantee control over our own fight. We’re not a social service or nonprofit, but are composed of all-volunteer labor.
