This Valentine’s Day, join and take bold action to demand marriage equality in Austin. Currently there are about 5,000 same-gender couples in Travis County. As well, there are 17,440 children who are being raised in same-gender households in Texas. Join us in demonstrating that all families deserve safety and security under the law. This Valentine’s Day, bring a sign, share your story, bring friends and witnesses, apply for a marriage license (bring $71 to do so, though you may be turned down which means you get your money back). Wear wedding attire or white (white T-shirts are fine). Clergy will be present to perform free marriage ceremonies for those interested in tying the knot!
